Add Tips to Save Gas

One example of a simple thing you can do to save gas is to make sure your tires are properly inflated.

Hydrogen - One of Many Fuel Alternatives

As we look for fuel alternatives to save gas, there is one source of energy that is all around us, even if we don't recognize it. Hydrogen Power, the power from the element Hydrogen is the energy of the future. We need to unlock its potential in order to see the possibilities. All that takes is a national commitment to make the long term switch from an oil based economy to a hydrogen based one. All that would take is a national consensus that the time has come to save gas and develop the best fuel alternatives.

Where Do We Get Hydrogen Power

The term hydrogen is intimidating to some. It conjures up images of the Hindenburg blimp disaster or nuclear weapons. Yet hydrogen is the most basic element. It is comprised of a single proton orbited by a single electron. It is one of the basic building blocks of water. In fact, water is just a combination of hydrogen and oxygen. If you split a water molecule - easy to do with electricity - you get a large amount of hydrogen. It's that simple.

Use Hydrogen Power to Save Gas

Using Hydrogen power would certainly save gas. But the implications go far deeper than that. By using a fuel that is found in large quantities within the United States, we would no longer be dependent of foreign oil suppliers. That could have a huge impact on foreign policy. This would mean that the whole tenor on international relations would change. So by switching to Hydrogen power, we do more than utilize alternative fuels, we save gas and the planet.

Hydrogen Power Does Not Smell

Many people are under the misconception that hydrogen power has a most unpleasant odor. Actually, the odor that most people think comes from hydrogen is actually the smell of hydrogen additives being burned. An engine that runs on one hundred percent hydrogen power produces trace amounts of a very subtle smell. An efficient hydrogen engine is actually quite pleasant. It is quiet and almost odorless. At a predicted seventy five cents a gallon, it certainly would be much cheaper than the gasoline we all currently use to power our cars.

Using Hydrogen Power, the Future is Now

Unlike many other fuel alternatives, we do not have to wait many years for hydrogen power. We already have the technology and have had it for many years. All we need is to make a decision to head in that direction and within a few years, hydrogen cars would not even be a novelty. Of course, we need to develop a nationwide system of hydrogen power stations. But where there is a will there most certainly is a way. That concept has been proven many times in our history. So with hydrogen power, the future looks and smells brighter than ever.
